Advice from a Full Sail Graduate. My fellow graduate, Adrian, addresses and answers issues on attending Full Sail for a film & video production studies. Although it is not the detailed account of his or my experience at Full Sail, it serves its purpose amd explains the rational behind the school and its students' participation for the creative endeavors that are film and video productions.
Most of all, I concur that "Full Sail prepares you to work on a film set" more than anything else. Not everyone gets to be a writer/director/producer/above-the-line talent, there are more people and opportunities in the less glamorous below-the-line crew positions.
In the end, I WISH I read this article and his advices before I attended Full Sail to make better result out of its expansive and expensive education. I loved working with Adrian on our class projects and I would've love to see his work as a DP on my little project that got nowhere fast. The lessons are learned and as we go our seperate ways, it won't be the last time you've heard of our (mis)adventures in this industry.
